The Club

Located on the picturesque south Devon coastline, Thurlestone golf club is one of the counties top courses, offering visitors a good test of golf with spectacular views everywhere you look. Our first 12 holes are played along the cliff tops looking out over the English channel, and on a sunny day, there’s no better place to play golf. The par 71 course is 6,300yards with generous fairways but punishing rough, offering golfers of all abilities a good test, especially when the wind blows. Thurlestone benefits from great drainage making it a popular course in the winter as we don’t have the need for temporary greens.

The Shop

Our golf shop, run by head professional Peter Laugher, is full of all the latest golf equipment from Mizuno, Callaway, Titleist, Ping, Macgregor, Benross and many more, all at unbeatable prices. This year we have introduced the latest in club-fitting technology with the Vector Launch Monitor. This piece of equipment measures exactly what happens to the ball when it’s hit, and from that we can advise, then measure which clubs will maximize the players potential, sometimes adding as much as 30yards on their driving distance.

The Professionals

As well as a great retail facility, Thurlestone Golf Club has two experienced teaching professionals, Peter Laugher and Pete Mitchell. Coaching is available every day of the week, with a variety of coaching packages on offer including video coaching in our newly fitted indoor studio.

Tennis

As well as a great golf course Thurlestone has great tennis facilities with 12 grass and 2 hard courts. From April to October there are various adult and children’s tournaments open to members and visitors which make for a great buzzing atmosphere about the club.
